In the bustling realm of signage and visual communications, one name stands out among the rest: Josh Brown. As an account executive at #SignEffectz, a prominent signage company based in Milwaukee, Josh exemplifies the dedication, innovation, and ambition that define the industry’s best and brightest.
However, Josh’s journey to prominence extends beyond his role at #SignEffectz. Recently, he achieved a significant milestone in his career by joining the prestigious #ISA Elite 2024 group, which convened in person for the first time at the ISA International Sign Expo 2024 from April 10 to 12 in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center. Comprised of 35 young professionals annually, the ISA Elite recognizes emerging leaders in the sign, graphics, and visual communications industry. For Josh, acceptance into this exclusive cohort signifies not only his talent but also his commitment to advancing the industry’s standards.
When asked about his inspiration for joining the ISA Elite group, Josh’s enthusiasm is palpable. “I was inspired by watching previous ISA Elite groups at the Expo,” he explains. “Seeing the posts and experiencing the show in person, it looked like a great program with unparalleled networking opportunities.” Josh’s journey into the ISA Elite ranks began with a nomination and recommendation, followed by a formal application process. His perseverance and focus on professional development ultimately paid off when he received the coveted acceptance letter.
For Josh, being part of the ISA Elite isn’t just an honor; it’s a strategic opportunity for growth. “I believe the #ISAElite program will drastically help propel my opportunities to connect with the #ISA at a larger scale,” he notes. Already, he has taken proactive steps to expand his involvement within the association, aiming for a future role on an ISA Steering Committee.
In terms of specific goals, Josh has a clear vision for his involvement in the association. “I hope to explore more tech to improve day-to-day tasks,” he says. “Additionally, I’m eager to learn business tactics and approaches to growth from the seasoned veterans in the Association.” With his passion for innovation and drive for continuous improvement, Josh is poised to make significant contributions to the industry’s advancement.
Within his ISA Elite subgroup, Josh finds himself among esteemed peers, including Josh Munn, VP of Engineering & Design at Munn Enterprises, Inc., Marshall Hogan, Design Director at Elevated Identity, Inc., and Taylor Whitney, Process Improvement Controller at FASTSIGNS Lancaster. Together, they represent a dynamic force driving innovation and excellence in signage and visual communications.
But Josh’s climb to the ISA Elite wasn’t a solo endeavor. He had his teammates from Sign Effectz, including the #Visionary, Owner, and Founder Adam Brown, and the indisputably cool Project Manager Nathaniel Bek, right there on the field with him. Josh wants to underline major props to Nathaniel Bek; the guy’s passion and drive are next level, truly inspiring. As for Adam Brown, the mastermind orchestrating the plays, he’s the MVP who makes it all possible. Together, these three guys—Adam Brown, Josh Brown, and Nathaniel Bek—were like the dream team of signage, living it up like champions for the week.
