Last year’s 3rd Annual Ride for Veterans, was a powerful testament to our community’s unwavering support for those who have served. Despite challenges, your dedication shined through—especially those who rode in the rain out of sheer passion.
Last year’s event raised $4,500, a reflection of the generosity and heart of everyone involved. From the 50/50 raffle and silent auction to moving speeches, every moment reinforced the importance of standing by our veterans.
A special thank you to the generous soul at Wisconsin Harley-Davidson who supported us. This act of kindness, along with the overwhelming community response, truly embodies the unity and compassion this ride represents.
We were honored to hear heartfelt speeches from Brandon, Michael from Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, and the chair of the board—reminding us all of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women and the need for ongoing support.
A Legacy of Giving: A Look Back at Past Rides
The Ride for Veterans has grown tremendously since its inception. In 2022, it began as a small but mighty ride, bringing together a group of dedicated supporters to raise funds for Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin (VOW).
By 2023, participation doubled, with 45 bikes and 72 riders rallying to raise $8,000, directly impacting veterans in need. These funds contributed to expanding the Milwaukee Veterans Village, including the addition of 42 tiny homes, a 10,000-square-foot community center, and a food market for veterans and their families.
While this past year posed new challenges, the heart of our mission remained steadfast—supporting those who need it most. The impact of our collective efforts goes beyond numbers; it’s about the community, the camaraderie, and the lasting difference we make together.
Looking Ahead: The 4th Annual Ride for Veterans
The 4th Annual Ride for Veterans is just around the corner, and we’re fired up to make it our biggest and best yet! It’s a day dedicated to honoring those who have bravely served our country, and we’re doing it in the most powerful way we know how: by coming together as a community to support veterans experiencing homelessness.
For those who are new to the Ride for Veterans, it’s an incredible event spearheaded by Sign Effectz and Wisconsin Harley-Davidson, in partnership with the Veterans Community Project of Milwaukee (VCP). We continue this by raising funds to support transitional homes, giving veterans the dignity of a safe and supportive place to call home. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a movement, a chance to show our gratitude and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have given so much.
Join us on June 14th, 2025, as we kick off the day at 9:30am with registration at Sign Effectz (1827 W Glendale Ave, Milwaukee). We’ll hit the road together at 11am, cruising all the way to Wisconsin Harley-Davidson (1280 Blue Ribbon Dr, Oconomowoc).
There’s something for everyone—giveaways, t-shirts for all riders, and a chance to be part of a movement that’s making a real difference. Check out the amazing energy from our previous rides—from 2022 to 2024—and you’ll see why this event is growing bigger and better every year. We can’t wait to see you there!
