Adam Brown, owner of #SignEffectz is no stranger to solving the impossible. This is his passion! Adam and artist Janet Zweig share a history of successful collaboration, having jointly accomplished numerous projects nationwide. #SignEffectz is excited to collaborate again with Janet Zweig on public art structures in West Hollywood, California.
Notable Janet Zweig Projects
In 2019, our team helped the vision, of “Escape Destinations,” come to life in downtown Seattle, Washington. The two signs contain rolling “bus blinds” displaying 100 names of fictional places found in literature, film, television, comics, and games, from the eighth century BC to 2019. The yellow sign displays place from works made for children; the blue sign displays places from works made for adults.
Another public art project for Janet Zweig was completed in 2011 in Milwaukee, entitled “Pedestrian Drama.” The project comprised of five kiosks mounted on five lamp poles each showing three interconnected photographic animations or “dramas,” printed on successive “flaps.” With both of these projects, #SignEffectz provided the engineering, fabrication, and installation of the kiosks and location signs.
Upcoming West Hollywood Public Art
We eagerly anticipate joining forces with artist Janet Zweig for her upcoming venture in West Hollywood. This large sculptural project will be crafted in Milwaukee, then shipped and installed by Adam and Joshua Brown. #SignEffectz is set to complete the project in late Spring 2024. Below is a rendering of the future public art structures.
